While now is a prime time to be hitting the road to many destinations, that does not mean that it has to cost you a fortune. To help you, here are a few tips to help you save more this Spring Break. Make the most of your time and money when you travel and become informed with tips to help from Bill Bailey Travel.

Take a drive – Though gas may not be cheap, if you pack your own food and choose to drive rather than fly, you can save hundreds. Just make sure you are driving something that gets good gas mileage and know the rules to help conserve your fuel.

Book your flight early – Most often, the longer you wait, the higher the price. Book early, especially during popular travel seasons and save.

Travel on Tuesday or Wednesday – These days are almost always the least expensive days for travel by air. When possible, always travel during the week to save money.

If you do travel abroad, try Europe – This time of year, Europe is much less crowded as it is in its shoulder season. Not only will you find smaller lines and crowds, but will also likely save a bundle.

Be creative when booking accommodations – Try condos or rentals instead of hotels and you could not only enjoy more spacious accommodations but a smaller price tag as well.

Cook at home – If you choose accommodations that offer at least a kitchenette, you will find that you can save a bundle on food by shopping at the store and eating at home.

Know what is and is not included in your phone plan – Cell phones and unexpected costs in regards to them have been causing people trouble for years. Be sure you know the fees of your phone use and plan accordingly.
