William Bailey Travel Reviews A Great Chicago Dining Experience

William Bailey Travel Reviews A Great Chicago Dining ExperienceIf you are looking for a great Sunday brunch location with plenty of ambiance , good food, and great wait staff then look no further than Chicago’s Home of Chicken and Waffles. With two locations to serve you, you have a choice of ambiance to experience this Chicago legend. William Bailey Travel invites you to take a closer look at this popular destination on your next journey to Chicago.

The original location in the Bronzeville neighborhood, located at 3947 South King Drive in Chicago, has been serving the neighborhood for over a decade. This location has a down-home , community feeling from the moment you walk in the front door. The wait staff are conversational and outgoing and the food is outstanding. Even when the place is packed the staff finds a way to make you feel as though you are the most important customer in the place. The atmosphere of the location is laid back and the customers are just as friendly as the staff. The only bump in the road occurs on high traffic days (usually Saturday and Sunday during the brunch and after church hours) when the kitchen staff has to work a little harder to keep up with the sheer volume of orders.

With great success in Bronzeville the owners opened an additional location in the nearby suburb of Oak Park. The restaurant, located at 543 Madison Street, offers the same great menu selections along with weekly live jazz, karaoke, and BYOB (with a small fee) after 5 pm. This location is a popular hangout for local residents as it offers the same comfort food from the original location but in a laid back, jazzy atmosphere. The golden warm tones of the interior combined with the food and music creates a comfortable setting for conversation and gathering.

Both locations have a large menu to choose from and offer selections with something for every member of your party. Offerings on the menu include combination platters as well as the opportunity to create your own meal by pairing sides of your choosing. From perfectly seasoned catfish filets and cheese grits to Bernadine’s Biscuits and red beans and rice the perfect combination awaits every diners taste. Prices range from side dishes starting under $5 to combination platters that range from $10 to $19.

Hours vary at each location at can be found on the website at www.chicagoshomeofchickenandwaffles.com/
