World's Most Beautiful Garden's

There are few spaces in our daily lives that can put us at ease like a beautiful, colorful, flower-filled garden. There is something about being surrounded by blossoms, nature, and green space that helps create calm and serenity in the midst of chaos. If you are planning a day-long retreat, a weekend getaway or a week-long vacation, to de-stress, these locations offer visitors some of the most beautiful and calming spaces in the world.

Claude Monet’s Garden: Giverny, France

Perhaps the most famous garden on this list, Monet’s Garden has brought peace and joy to many through his paintings. If you think that the paintings are impressive, you should experience the garden in person. Many of the artist’s well-known masterpieces were created on these grounds where this garden still exists. The artist lived in the house in the French countryside for nearly 43 years of his life and it was well known that his garden was as important to him as his works of art. He tended to the garden throughout his life, carefully cultivating the flowering buds in order to ensure that their beauty remained as timeless as the works of art that they inspired.

Gardens at the Versailles Palace: France

Since we are already in France visiting Monet’s work of art, we should take the time to visit the Gardens at the Versailles Palace as well. These historic gardens are impressive and meticulously designed. The grounds of King Louis XIV’s palace were a point of pride for the monarch. He believed that they were as important as the palace itself and employed many workers to ensure that they were maintained to the level of his expectation. Nowadays, visitors can wander through the gardens on their own and enjoy the flowers, fountains and beautiful views, an encounter that was once reserved only for those whom the King deemed worthy.

Kenroku-en Garden: Ishikawa, Japan

Known as one of Japan’s “Three Great Gardens,” the Kenroku-en Garden is considered to be the perfect location for a peaceful respite in the city of Ishikawa. This free, the public garden is particularly beautiful in the spring when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. During the two weeks that they are at their peak, the garden is known to draw in photographers and lovers of nature from all over the world.
